Another U...and a day off!
Another homer for RAUUUUUUUUUUUU-UUUUUUUUUUL (22) in Saturday's loss to the Red Sox. Da' Man took the day off on Sunday and watched what ended up be a HUGE win.
Look for the VoteForRaul.com shirts in right field during the Thursday BPS against the Blow Jays.

Raul Homer in Spanish (Thanks to The Fightins)
Thanks to the Fightins' for posting this video of Raul's homer against the Mets with the Spanish audio. (I was trying to figure out why T-Mac and Muffin kept cutting over to the NY Spanish folks...guess they knew this was coming!)
And mad props to The Fightins for the "Que chupe, Mets" headline. Look it up on Google language search!!!
The big blog/Ibby controversy
In the interest of keeping it positive here at http://www.voteforraul.com/, I've specifically avoided the scandal/nonsense around this week's allegations against Raul. I'm not a doctor, so I don't test pee for a living.
However, I WILL say that I respect and appreciate the way the Phils and Raul have handled the situation. The entire organization basically stated "It's wrong. We'll prove it. End of story."
In the age of random drug testing, it's hard to believe that anyone would take that chance. (I know...Manny...I have no response.)
But according to Raul and the team, he is on his way to a career-making season WITHOUT chemical enhancements. That's good enough for me.
I also heard a Comcast SportsNet reporter breathlessly talking about Raul as MVP Friday morning. Let's do the right things right, people....get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul , and THEN we'll worry about the MVP label!!!

PS: For the record, I do NOT live in my mother's basement. I have a job, a family, my own house, and my own car. I'm not your typical blogger (as evidenced by my infrequent and illogical entries!)
Another Mets choke...another U....
I'm trying to keep it positive here at http://www.voteforraul.com/, but the Phils were the recipient of another major Mets choke Thursday night.
RAUUUUUUU-UUUUUUUUUUUUUUL now has 21 HRs and 21 Us to his name.
And what an awesome game-clinching homer it was.
Remember to get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul Ibanez!!!

Another U for Da' Man...
The Phils took a disappointing loss to the Mets Tuesday night, but we happily add a U to the man: RAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL!
That's 20 U-s for 20 homers to remain 2nd IN THE ENTIRE MAJORS for homers!!! Tell me this guy isn't DA MAN!!!
We've been gettin' 'er done, but get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul Ibanez!!!

It's working! Keep it up!
Phillies.com noted today that Ibanez takes lead in NL outfield voting. I'm sure Zolecki didn't specifically mean http://www.voteforraul.com/ when he mentions the "grassroots campaign" started by Phillies fans to get Raul elected. But maybe you could email Todd Zolecki and let him know you read it here! And be sure to get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul Ibanez!!!

Look for us at the Saturday 5/30 Phils/Nats game! We'll be in Ashburn Alley when it opens at 4:30pm, and drinking our way down the alley toward Bulls BBQ.
We will NOT have any free VoteForRaul.com shirts with us. (Sorry to Philsguy69: he keeps asking.)

AFS to MVP???
We've been spending our time promoting Raul as an All-F*cking-Star...but the Sporting News is going over the top and talking about MVP!
Vic Torino and Chris Coste gave him some good props, but J-Ro went all out: ""So far, Raul's been a cross between He-Man and Superman. When he's hot, he can carry a team."
So WHY is this guy not in the top 3 OF vote getters?!? Get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul Ibanez!!!

And so the rolling stone begins...
Big thanks to The House the Glanville Built for the mention in their Raul story today. If our little campaign can make a difference in getting Raul to the ASFG, then we're proud to be part of it.
There's only one way this works, though: Get yer butt to the MLB All Star site and vote for Raul Ibanez!!!

Raul Ibanez Is a Freak
This Bleacher Report article made me laugh. He really is the man!
The main point: Raul is having a career year, AND he doesnt usually get started until June! This guy is destined for AFS and beyond!

Raul Ibanez Is a Freak
Lovin' the Raul shirts
Vote for RRRAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL!
Raul gets some lovin' from TheFightins.com
The guys over at The Fightins make some great points about Raul and his all-star competitors:
"...the most egregious act of voting has occured in the outfield, as our very own Raul Ibanez is 6th (SIXTH!) in voting. SIXTH. As in, there are five more players ahead of him. Are you serious? Okay, let’s all relax and see who is ahead of him.

- Ryan Braun (1,698,217) - .325 average with 8 homers and 31 RBIs. Okay, those are solid numbers. Fair enough
- Alfonso Soriano (1,640,575) -.253 average with 12 homers and 25 RBIs. Good power numbers, but that .253 average is palty compared to Nyjer Morgan’s .287.
- Carlos Beltran (1,332,581) -.367 average with 6 homer and 31 RBIs. Among the league leaders in average and RBIs to go along with a great glove. He deserves a spot on here.
- Manny Ramirez (1,213,423) -.348 average with 6 homers and 20 RBIs in 27 games. Not bad, but considering he is currently serving a 50 game suspension for violating the league’s drug policy, I’d say that he shouldn’t even be on the ballot.
- Mike Cameron (916,334) - .285/9/22. Really? Really? Are there that many Milwaukee fans?
- Raul Ibanez (865,638) - .345 (6th), 17 (1st) , 43 (1st). Ibanez is pretty much leading the world in offense, but he get’s no love from the voters. This is why the All Star game is a disgrace. YES, a disgrace. Ever since Cap’n Bud made the game meaningful, we’ve had to deal with these ridiculous ballots, which are filled out by the fans, which means the All Star Game is little more than a popularity contest."
Awesome analysis (as usual) from The Fightins.

Vote for Raul Ibanez!
There's been a lot of talk about OTHER websites promoting OTHER MLB outfield All-Stars...let's get serious.
There's only ONE real consideration for the NL outfield All-Star position: Raul Ibanez. Consider the following (as of Thurs. May 28, 2009): Raul:
- #1 in RBI (44)
- #1 in Slugging Percentage (.707)
- #1 (Tie) in Runs (38)
- #2 in HR (17)
- #6 in hits (59)
- #8 in AVG (.339)
Show me a more consistent, productive, "all-star" performer???
